Esme Prince is planning something bad on General Hospital. For months Esme has been acting mostly normal in front of her piers.  After today's episode we see that she is planning something on this trip with Trina, Joss, Cam and Spence.  

Why is Trina going on this trip and making herself the 5th wheel?  So what could Esme be planning to do with these drugs and a Smartphone?

We stayed away from all GH social media so we could watch this episode in quiet and not be swayed by previous opinions.  So this morning the lunch crew got together in a private home to watch this episode.  We all thought it would be a tear jerker, something to make soap  history, much along the lines of Luke and Laura's wedding.  

We are sad to report that the general consensus is that this was not all that it could have been.  There were some great moments but what should have been the GRIEF because the loss of Luke's life was just not there.  Is it possible that people have mostly forgotten Luke (Tony Geary) and his years on the show because he has been gone so long, ABSOLUTELY.  

We definitely think that played a role.  They had Helena make an appearance via a recording made by Helena prior to her own death to get the last poke at Luke.  Laura literally pull the plug on Helena's plan and didn't let anybody know what she had to say.   Not one of Luke's kids were at his Memorial Service.  

Then the brought Jennifer Smith in at the last minute. Most people don't  know who she was and what relevance she had in Luke's life.  She as at one time engaged to Luke and was the daughter of MOB BOSS Frank Smith. This role was played by 4 different actresses.  Lisa Marie portrayed the character in 1980, Roseanne Arnold in 1994, Sally Struthers in February 2002, and Holly Gagnier in June 2015.  Who the heck cares who she was and why she is there now?  NOBODY!!!  

What did you think of Luke's Memorial Service? 

There were no flashbacks so we thought we would give you some so you can remember the genius that was LUKE SPENCER.  

Devon intends to sue for Joint Custody of Dominic on Young and Restless.  When Mariah was having trouble letting go of a little boy that she grew in her womb and under her heart, everyone was on her case. Mariah was kidnapped while pregnant, went into labor alone and gave birth to this child in the room she was held prisoner.  But when she was  having trouble letting go, everyone was really on her case.  

Now, Devon who contributed a sample in a cup to help create this baby now wants shared custody because the baby stayed with him for a week or so. It is really over the top. The difference between the way men and women are treated is really terrible. There is always a double standard. 

Now, because Abby and Chance didn't agree to a new liberal visitation agreement in writing, Devon is going to sue for shared custody. Who could blame any parent for being upset about this?  

How do you feel about this whole story-line? 

Do Carly is kicking Sonny to the curb on General Hospital.   Yeah, so that happened. Carly comes home, Sonny offers her what looked to be Lasagna or Baked Ziti, then offers to melt Mozzarella on Italian bread to dip in olive oil and she turns him down. 

Sonny is trying to mend fences with his special sauce but it is not working. Carly can't stay with a man who loves her and another.  For whatever reason, Sonny can't tell her that this won't happen again with Nina. That really is peculiar. Most men could say it, even if it were a lie. We all know that Sonny is having an inner struggle. Why doesn't his wife insist he talk to a mental health professional. Maybe he needs the Mike part of  him integrated or
vanquished?  

We don't know if Laura Wright has had Covid or is just not getting enough sleep but something is up and showing on the screen.  We wish her well and hope she gets some rest.  Do you think Carly should get rid of Sonny?

Tessa tells Mariah she is ready to start a family on  Young and Restless.  Were you as surprised as we at Back Stage Pass News was about Tessa telling Mariah she is ready to start a family with her?  

Just last month, Tessa was totally against it and now she is ready and she says it is because of Mariah.  She tells Mariah she needed her to be wanting to start a family for the right reasons. For her not wanting a baby just to fill the empty space that Dominic left.  Were you as surprised as we were about this turn of events?

Does this have anything to do with Noah being back in town and Tessa wanting to cement her relationship with Mariah and she may be starting to have feelings for Noah again? 

Former Recurring status actor Ingo Rademacher files lawsuit against ABC for vaccine mandate.  Seriously, his status on GH was sporadic at best. He was never on full contract so this lawsuit is a frivolous and will be thrown out of court. 

ABC lawyers will file a motion to dismiss calling this lawsuit exactly what it is.  They will tell the Judge that this actor was not a full time employee who came and went at will, much like his character. 

Open message to Ingo:  Hey Ingo, your bringing up integrity in your farewell announcement was pretty hypocritical.   Attacking other actors is very uncool. Everybody (GH viewers) are used to you coming and going with your FOREVER recurring status.  You will barely be missed. Try BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL, maybe you can be Thorn again over there.

Maurice talks about his 3rd nervous breakdown this week on State of Mind with former writer and producer  of General Hospital Wendy Riche. 

Wendy Riche is a writer and producer, known for The Bay (2010), General Hospital (1963) and Port Charles (1997). She has been married to Alan Riche since December 4, 1966. They have two children.

It seems like Maurice speaking in a low voice or whispers used to be a big issue.  Maurice fought to be able to be him on General Hospital, speak the way he wanted to speak, which gave the viewers the Sonny they know and love or love to hate.  He fought for his art and his way of doing it and he won. Nobody again asked him to 'SPEAK LOUDER." 

The fact that they used to negotiate movement on the set is interesting and intriguing. Maurice thought in his first few weeks of playing Sonny that he was doing THE GODFATHER mini series.  They recall 28 years ago and Sonny's first few weeks on set.  He experienced a nervous breakdown during that time. It is amazing that he got through that then and if he hadn't, we wouldn't have had the rich and totally lovable SONNY.

An observation I made is  the character Sonny is a flawed man.  The character of SMIKE: SONNY + MIKE is a flawed man with a heart. I am not saying Sonny doesn't have a heart.  He does but his heart is hardened by his life experiences.  Mike was Sonny before all the pain with an open heart. 

You will hear Maurice talk about how Vanessa (Brenda) wasn't a great actress during her first couple months on GH.  Sonny pitches his son to Wendy for THE BAY. 

Maurice talks about the death of his father who actually died from
Alzheimer's Disease and how his father was diagnosis around the same time he was doing the Mike Alzheimer story line. 

The gift from this episode is that we all need to "LIVE IN THE PRESENT"

Today was the first time we have Maxi and Peter together in months.
Maxi told Peter where to stick it on General Hospital. She wanted so much to tell him what a liar he was as she knows exactly where their baby is hiding in plain sight.

With that we got to watch Maxi finally have the chance to tell Peter how she really feels and boy did she let him have it.  The only thing that could have been better is if she slapped him across the face. We would have enjoyed that. 

Mac looked on through the window to make sure his Maxi was safe. Peter wasn't taking was Maxi was delivering but she kept at him.

He did hit a soft spot when he mentioned Austin to Maxi and then he realized and pointed out to her that they were on a first name basis. Peter will now be gunning for Austin.  Maxi needs to go and warn Austin that Peter will be sending someone to hurt him.

What else  can be done to secure Peter in prison and make sure he can't hurt anyone again? 

RIDGE kicks HOPE out of Brookes HOUSE on Bold and Beautiful. I was watching that episode and was thinking to myself, he is going to throw her out.  Then he did.  Was anybody shocked that Ridge was throwing Hope out of the guest cabin her mother owns on her mother's property. 

Look, we all know that Hope and Liam should be out on their own. I can't tell you how many times I thought to myself, why is that girl still living on her mother's property. 

Also, I am a big Thorsten fan but not a big Ridge fan.  I don't care who plays that part, I just don't like the character.  He thinks he is entitled to a lot that he should not  be entitled too. He is not even a Forrester for crying out loud.

So him throwing Hope and the children out is going to cause a use problem between he and Brooke.  Do you think that Brooke will tell Ridge NO and get her daughter to stay?  

Building the Cassadine Family Tree to be major players on General Hospital.  Tuesday's episode of General Hospital was such a hoot.  Alexi's lines and her delivery were priceless.  Ding Dong - "What Fresh Hell is this?"  Ding Dong, "You've Got to be kidding me, who could this be - Satan himself?" 

The whole Cassadine Thanksgiving was wonderful. Not really sure why Sean was there. He just kind of stood in the background.  In fact, until this moment looking back at the episode, I actually forgot he was there. 

It is great that Alexis and Val are actually family. They have always had a family bond first chosen by heart, now connected with blood. 

Uncle Victor is going to take control this family and make them tow the line.  I think it is going to be great the watch the formation of this family. It will be such a nice break to get away from the Sonny, Carly, Jason triangle, if only for a little while. Steve may be gone from Port Charles but Jason is not done with Port Charles. He will be back, sooner than later. 

Are you looking forward to seeing more of the Cassadine family? Will Victor give Alexis a job managing the family affairs? 

Stone and Sonny together again on Maurice Benard's State of Mind.  This is a can't miss episode for so many reasons.  Let's just bullet point a couple of things you will hear.

• Maurice and Michael started General Hospital pretty close  together;
• Michael recalls seeing one of Maurice's first bi-polar melt down;
• Michael talks about going to Beverly Hill High School and kids of famous actors and music artists;
• A big BEACH BOYS REVELATION;
• Did he say Neil Diamond?

Again, if you don't normally watch this show, this is the one you should watch.  There is a real affection between these two men and it showed in all their scenes together back in the beginning. 

This is what Evil looks like on General Hospital. When Esme first came on the scene, we were led to believe that Ryan did not know her.  In fact, we were led to believe that she was pushing herself on Ryan.

Today however that seemed to change. Today it  was as though Esme was reassuring Ryan that their plans are going well.   She really is one creepy chick.  How long are we going to have to wonder where she came from? She is supposed to be an 18 year old girl.  Is there nobody looking for her, no mother, father, aunt, uncles or grandparents? 

Although she seems like an evil hatch-ling, we all know she had to come from somewhere.  It is believed that she may be Ryan's daughter. Even if she was Ryan's daughter, she would have to have a mother somewhere.

Who could be her mother?  Heather Webber?  Would they go there again? Ryan would have had to have created Esme after the year 2000 for her age to fit the character.  Ryan was in prison since 1995 so he would have had to make someone pregnant while in prison. It really doesn't seem feasible.   

What do you think Esme's back story could be? 

Nick and the Devil deliver a gross kiss to Days fans.  What were the writers thinking here?  This was the most bizarre thing I have ever seen on a soap. Like it wasn't bad enough to have Marlena possessed by the DEVIL AGAIN.  No, now we have to watch the Devil who should be a male in the body of a 74 year old women kissing what is supposed to be a dead man in his 20's when he died kiss.

Not only that but Marlena/the Devil was kissing someone who they have rotted out his teeth. I am serious, has there never ever been another kiss that has ever been so gross?  I can't think of one and I have been watching soaps for well over 50 years?

Jumbo Wedding Band on Young and Restless. Seriously, what is with the huge wedding band they displayed as Chances wedding ring on Young and Restless.

So Chance is supposed to be dead but this weekend the news broke about the character of Chance being recast.  That means we will think he is dead for at least a month and then he will come back into the mix and throw Abby's life into chaos right after she accepts he is gone. 

What I keep thinking about is what man leaves his bride right after their honeymoon to go back into work he made such a big deal about leaving when he was pursuing his new bride?  

If we all remember, Chance had said over and over again that he was done working for the Federal Government. That is why he became a cop. They made a big deal about getting his name cleared about what happening in Vegas with Adam so he could get hired by the Genoa City Police. 

He gets that cleaned up, gets a job and he is gone.  The viewers that are hard core fans know that the actor that played Chance previously got fired for violating a specific clause in his employment contract.  

That is why he had a sudden departure. For whatever reason they have decided to write the character back into the show.  Makes you wonder if there was also some clause that states that the character could not be seen on the show for one year?  This time is all very suspicious.  

Anyhow, I thought I would write about the size of the ring because it seemed incredibly large to me or could it be camera angle?  That ring was big enough to fit on the wrist of a toddler.  

Baby Dominic finally gets a head on Young and Restless.  Those are words you should never have to say when referring to a baby character on a soap opera.  Maybe by next week there will be a life like doll. 

It looks like they started using a doll today but since we know there are life like dolls available and they seem to be resistant to bring in an an infant right now, they should bring in a life like doll. 

The scene with Victor and grandson was sweet. Maybe it was Eric who refused to hold the rolled up blankets they had been using?  That is an interesting thought. 

Mariah even got a chance to hold the baby doll with the head today. It was a big day at Young and Restless.
