Song Review: All You Gotta Do is Dance by Gavin Lee. This song came across my desk today. I needed a distraction so I gave it a click. I was so happy I did. All You Gotta Do is Dance is an uplifting tune.
"Fun, flirty with a nostalgic feel is what All You Gotta Do is Dance delivers." We look forward to seeing what this song does when it is released on April 22nd, 2022. TIME TO CELEBRATE
Shane Owens is celebrating the success of his song Music Man and attending CRS22.
"Music Man is a song that explains how any musician that loves music lives.” shares Owens “There’s nothing that compares to being on that stage and living the dream of delivering your songs to people that appreciate country music while riding across the land with a five-piece band in a bus. This song will surely make you want to two-step all over the dance floor!” A rare breed on today’s radio, Owens is notable for being one of the few country artists who deliver modern-day sounds while honoring his traditional country roots. Owens is back in full swing with brand new music and shows for fans of all ages to enjoy. Ingrained in the characteristics that launched his career, Owens continues to pay homage to his heroes while remaining true to the style his fans fell in love with. His powerful vocal range combined with the emotional lyrical content of his songs has made him a favorite of fans, critics, and fellow artists alike. After starting his career opening shows for dozens of major stars, the baritone performer attracted the attention of Nashville music executives, and he soon landed a record deal. However, with all the changes in the music industry at the time, his album was shelved and never released. Just like the ‘Never Give Up’ mantra of his lyrics, Owens picked himself up and moved on, thanks to famed producer James Stroud (Tim McGraw, Aaron Lewis, Clint Black), country music legend Randy Travis, who co-executive produced his first album, Where I’m Comin’ From, and AmeriMonte Records. LYRICS
She told me she was lonely And it would be all right If happy ever after only meant one night So we saddled up in satin and rode off for the morning sun Oh, but somewhere 'tween the neon and the mornin' skies I saw that I was fallin' for those deep blue eyes And I couldn't help but wonder Could this woman be the one? Then it came to the leavin' part When sleepin' beauty nearly had my heart But a cowboy's always got somewhere to go Another song to sing, another day to save another rodeo They're always leavin' town, chasin' sunsets down It ain't nothin' new Yeah, they're just passin' through That's what cowboys do I knew that I was in for one hell of a ride As I drew a bull so cruel they call him Satan's Pride And the odds of gettin' even started seemin' mighty thin So I gave the nod and everybody held on tight Went dancin' with the devil on a Friday night Whenever you're in Texas The cowboy's gonna always win Then it came to the leavin' part Well, leavin' Texas always breaks my heart But a cowboy's always got somewhere to go Another song to sing, another day to save another rodeo They're always leavin' town, chasin' sunsets down It ain't nothin' new Yeah, they're just passin' through That's what cowboys do They're always leavin' town, chasin' sunsets down Sayin' adios to you Yeah we're just passin' through That's what cowboys do Source: LyricFind Songwriters: Troyal Garth Brooks
Howard and David Bellamy make up the Bellamy Brothers. They are both a musical duo and real life brothers. Unlike some groups they truly are family.
The guys hail from and still record in Florida at the family compound where they have their own homes close enough together to be neighbors and far enough away for some breathing room. Here is a list of the 10 best songs from the national charts. 10.”Crazy from the Heart” This song was written by David Bellamy and Don Schlitz and is from the album of the same name. It was produced by Emory Gordy Jr. and released in 1987 making it to the number three position. 9.”Feeling the Feeling” Here is a song that most every Bellamy fan loves. It is a sexy song that has a little bit of a feel like their biggest hit “Let Your Love Flow.” 8.”Do You Love as Good as you look” Many men feel like this when they see a good looking girl. They often find themselves wondering if the woman can be anywhere close to as good in person as they look. 7.”You Ain’t Just Whistling Dixie” This is a love song about the way the guy feels about his southern way of life. It is a song full of visions of a better time in the writers past. 6.”Too Much is not enough” The songs bass line starts out like an old soul or disco song. It then turns into a beach style song. And it works well It is a song with the Bellamy brothers and the Forrester sisters singing together. 5.”Lovers Live Longer” This is a hopeful song about love keeping you living well and long. The lyrics at one point “Babe I read it in the news today I lived to be a ripe old age.” 4.”Sugar Daddy” I’m sure all women love this song. It is about the things that a man feels that a woman needs to be happy. The song made it to the number one slot on the national charts in 1980. 3.”If I said you had a Beautiful Body” This is a great song that shows the fans that the band had a great knack for catching every day things and making them into song. It is a line that instantly became a honky-tonk pick up line. 2.”Redneck Girl” This was the Bellamy’s sixth number one hit and became an air guitar standard in the bars. The intro is off beat and works very well to start things in motion and instantly recognizable. The lead guitar part is classic and is perfect for showing off your skills. 1.”Let Your Love Flow” Oddly enough, this song was written by a roadie for Neil Diamond. The writer Larry D. Williams offered the song to Neil Diamond and he declined to record it so the Bellamy brother took the song to number one in country and it also crossed over into the pop music charts as well.
This would be hard for anyone to actually research and figure out. There are many songs that people consider the 10 best songs. These are songs that everyone wants on their top 10 list of songs by the Beatles.
After looking around the only real fair way to do this is to go to some resources that list this type of data. Billboard magazine is one such place where you can see which songs rank where on the national charts and even internationally. This list was taken from research from the Billboard charts. 10.”Can’t Buy Me Love” This song is from 1964 and ranks at the number 10 spot on our top 10 songs list. It’s one of those familiar Beatle tunes that everyone loves to sing along with when it comes on the radio. It reached number 1 on March 28 1964 and remained there for 5 weeks. 9.”We can Work it out” On December 18 1965 this song hit the top of the national charts. It remained there for 3 solid weeks. It is a nice positive ballad. The song is well crafted and tries to look at both sides of things. 8.”A Hard Day’s Night” This title track from the movie hit the top of the charts for two weeks on July 18 of 1964. It has a great easy to sing chorus. 7.”Hello Goodbye” The Beatles were masters of taking words and melodies and making them work in a way that others before them could not. This is a perfect example and also made the number one spot on December 2 in 1967 and stayed there for 14 days. 6.”Come Together” and “Something” This record was a double sided hit with both songs getting airplay depending on the station. They went number one on October 18 in 1969. “Come Together” has a very infectious rhythm and conversely “Something” is a slow and loving ballad. 5.”Let it be” This song crossed over many genres. It was released and reached number one on March 21 1970 remaining there for two weeks. People for varied walks of life identified with this song. It is still great to hear all these years later. 4.”Get Back” This song remained at the top of the charts for 5 weeks. It attained the number one slot on the national charts on May 10 in 1969. This is a great toe tapping song that got played in bars by bands doing everything from rock to country. 3.”She Loves You” On January 25 of 1963 the Beatles topped the chart with this little sing along style ditty. Like the lyrics say, “She loves you yeah, yeah, yeah.” It had the group singing all the way to the bank. 2.”I Want to Hold Your Hand” This song hit the charts on January 18, 1964 and stayed for an incredible 7 weeks. It showed the raw energy and how the group could take everyday things and turn them into hits. 1.”Hey Jude” This hypnotic ballad from the Liverpool band stayed atop the charts for 9 weeks. It was an incredible song. It was easy to sing and easy to listen to. That’s a great formula for a hit. ![]() The Allman Brothers band hit the music scene like a bull in a china shop. They paved the musical road for other southern rock greats like Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top and since 1969 they have been highly influential in the rock music scene. The band has won more awards than you can name in a short article but they range from Grammy awards to Lifetime Achievement awards and induction into the Hall of Fame. They are southern rock oriented but have a huge helping of blues in the music they play. The band has had some national chart success and the top 10 song list is full of great songs. 10.”Whipping Post” This is a song that you simply have to watch the band play live to appreciate. The various renditions range from a little over five minutes to over thirteen minutes depending on how the band was feeling. It is a signature song for them. 9.”Ain’t Wasting Time no more” This song shows the heart and soul of the band and gives you a great feel for where they are coming from. You can feel the grit and the heartache in it. It is a true classic for them. 8.”Statesboro Blues” As the name implies this is a great blues song. From the opening slide guitar riff you know you are in for a ride. This is another song that the band played live in nearly every show. It was a crowd pleaser that the band also enjoyed performing. 7.”Dreams” This song is a little mellow for the band. It is also one the many songs from them that can easily range into the over ten minute range if they were feeling into it. 6.”One Way Out” This song usually starts out with a long Dickey Betts intro when he was alive. The songs signature licks truly pull you into the song and get your attention. 5.”Jessica” The Band rarely had great national chart action but they had a huge following of very loyal fans that kept them going and kept record sales high. This is a good example. It only hut the 65 spot on the national charts in 1973 but when you hear it kick off you know what song it is. Then again the song is a seven and a half minute instrumental showcasing the twin guitar sound of the band. 4.”Good Clean Fun” This one actually hit the number one spot in 1980 and has a great groove to it. That being what it is. There are still some songs that are less commercial that the fans like better that ranked higher in the top 10 songs list. 3.”Midnight Rider” This tune is immediately recognized as a signature by the band. The crowd always went wild when it kicked off. It was one of the more successful songs they recorded. 2.”Melissa” Though it only made it to number 65 this song is an all time favorite for almost any fan of this band. It is slow and a nice mellow acoustic song that is quite a change from most of the band’s rocking blues material. 1.”Ramblin’ Man” Even though this is not the biggest hit they ever had it is likely the one most people immediately identify with them. It reached number 2 in 1973 and has a great good time feel to it with the twin guitars and great rocking ![]() Country music has always been kind to its artists. Pretty much once you achieve fame and fortune your fans will be loyal for life. That is not something that can be said about all genres of music. Read on for Top 10 Alan Jackson songs. Born Alan Eugene Jackson he sings traditional honky-tonk and contemporary country music and is what is known as a “hat” act. That means that he wears a cowboy hat whenever he is on stage. It was penned by George Jones and Roger Miller and made it all the way to the number one slot. 9.”Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning” This song was written by Jackson about the horrors of 9-11-2001 and the terrorists attack on America. The song had no trouble making it to the number one slot. It debuted at the Country Music Awards in 2001. 8.”She’s Got the Rhythm I’ve Got the Blues” This is a great play on words written by Alan and Randy Travis. Great imagery in the lyrics like “With her every little move she’s telling me I’m over you, she’s got the rhythm I’ve got the blues.” 7.”It’s Five O’clock Somewhere” This is a nice duet between Jackson and beach singer Jimmy Buffett.
