Picture
Stronger Now is about resilience and you can hear the pain in Clara aka Spice's voice and the song progresses. It is evident that she is no stranger to the things that life can throw at you.  Back Stage Pass News talked to her about her rising music career and this is what she had to say about her music and how much she loves her fan base. Read that interview below:

Here is a Question and Answer interview Clara aka Spice:
Q:  Are you signed with a major label yet?
A: I’m looking to must to sign with a label waiting for the right fit;

Q:  What is it like getting played all over the world?
A:
I am being played almost everywhere around the world.  I am doing it for my fans.  I am not doing it for the money. I am trying something new and trying to take the fans along with me. I do not want to leave my friends behind. Fans and friends are the same to me. I want to be the peoples choice. I want the people to choose me;

Q: What is your favorite song in this world?
A:  My favorite song is Pavarotti Nessa dorma;

Q:  Have you ever entered a songwriting contest?
A:  I have won a Songwriting contest of the year judged by Alicia Keys, Gwen Stefani and Steven Tyler.  It encouraged me to do more writing:

Q:  So now you are not just doing lyrics, you are also composing the music for your songs. What has that transition been like?
A:
I’m finding it to be both exciting and scary at the same time because I like to address things that are happening that are serious. I don’t play with my lyrics. I like to bring you into a story and have you hear the words and resonate with them.

Q:  What process do you use when you write?
A:
If I hear a beat and I like it, it takes me hours to find it because I use free beats.  I literally pour over the beats to try and find the perfect one for the song.

Q:  We here at Back Stage Pass News hear you are a perfectionist. How hard it it to be a perfectionist when producing songs?
A:
My ear can catch a note. I have a problem with perfection because I wanted to be perfect when I actually put it out.  I find that sometimes it is very hard to actually get it to perfection.

Q:  What will you consider "Making it," in the music business?
A:
I believe that somewhere out there somebody going to make and it may be me. I hope it will be me creating the most amazing song in the world.  A song that will change the way we see music and the way we hear music. This song will change the way we look at the industry. I believe that song is still waiting to be written. I don’t know who is going to write it.  I don’t know if I would be the one but I believe in a perfect song.

Q:  You seem to write in several different genres.  Is this intentional?
A: I believe that you don’t have to just have one genre. I think pop, country and R&B can be inclusive on one record. I think that if you know those actual notes, you know how to play and you know, R&B, pop and country, why not play it?  Why not give the audience a CD that will actually be worth $20 or whatever that you’re spending on it?

Q:  What do you think music does for people?
A:  Each track on a CD can literally change your mood with each note. Music is a powerful thing.  I’m already planning my big show. I hope for a worldwide tour and a company that will actually support me on that tour. I want to get the people involved. I want the people, my fans to be actually seen. Maybe, for the first time, somebody will actually care.  I would like to be that person. The person that cares. I want to be the artist that cares.

Q: Wow, that was very inspirational.  You sound like you are really pro fan?

A:
I am always available to my fans literally.  I always leave my DM’s open because I want you guys to know you can contact me in the future. I don’t know what will happen but I do know that I’m going to take my fans along on the ride.

Empty Place album review

New Wave music from the album, "Empty Place," dropped to all online music outlets.  New Wave - Dark Wave music fans need to check this album out.

ALBUM REVIEW:

  1. The first thing that comes to mind as the song “Empty Place” kicks into gear is the band Devo. That’s not to say it sounds the same but there is a great parallel, but then the next song starts out of nowhere.
  2. “Twin Peaks” sounds much like song one and adds some arpeggios to the top end to add some stir to it and makes it a bit more interesting.
  3. “Dismember” comes on the speakers and adds some shimmering top end to the mix.
  4. Next up we hear the song “Blacklist”. This takes the groove a little lower and makes the whole movement meatier and more solid.
  5. As we ease into the tune “Performance” I am reminded of the song Tubular Bells, not so much in the melodic movement but the overall feel of the song.
  6. “Snake Dance” is definitely one that will get the vibes going. At least I found it quite interesting to listen to as it somewhat slowly chugs along.
  7. As song “Haunted Water” moves on you feel the remix and additions from the previous songs wind around the counter melody nicely.
  8. “Reflection” continues the vein on through in the progression and in your mind by the previous movement and expands the thought process a bit farther.
  9. As we continue onto the song “Disintegration” this song adds to the basic feel of the beat and brings it around to a nice popish feel.
  10. Finally the circle comes to an end with “Conversations In The Dark” and brings us back to ground.

This albums needs to be listened to from song #1 to song #10 to make sense. That is a great marketing strategy. SenaiB definitely hits the mark in the Dark wave genre that he is after.

SUMMER-FALL TOUR 2023

Picture
The band that Glenn Frey said was the "best singing band in the world," are getting ready to complete their summer tour and heading into their fall tour with energy and spirit of youngsters.  Little River Band puts 110% into every single show, they love the audience and they are not shy about it. The rest of their summer schedule kicks off tomorrow in Marion, Illinois. See below.

Little River Band 2023

Through the ‘70’s and ‘80’s, LRB enjoyed huge chart success with multiplatinum albums and chart topping hits like: “Cool Change,” “The Night Owls,” Happy Anniversary,” “Reminiscing,”  “Lonesome Loser,”  “Take It Easy On Me,” “Help Is on Its Way,” “We Two,”  “Man On Your Mind,” “The Other Guy,” and It’s A Long Way There.”

Worldwide album, CD sales and digital downloads now top 35 million and LRB has set a record for having had Top 10 hits for 6 consecutive years - In fact, they were the very first band to achieve that remarkable status! According to BMI, “Reminiscing” has garnered rare status with over 5 million airplays on American radio, and “Lady” is close behind with over 4 million airplays.

Bassist/vocalist Wayne Nelson joined the band in 1980.  He worked alongside founding members with some of the most distinctive harmonies and vocal abilities, creating the unique LRB sound. In 1981, Nelson was recognized by world renowned Beatles producer Sir George Martin whom, while producing ‘Time Exposure’, chose Nelson to record lead vocals on two of the band’s biggest hits, “The Night Owls” and “Take It Easy On Me.” Later that same year guitarist extraordinaire Stephen Housden joined LRB bringing a rock element into the band’s sound   and helped contribute to their string of Top 10 hits.  As band members departed, both Housden and Nelson worked together to bring LRB into the new millennium.

To date, lead singer/bassist Wayne Nelson has contributed his vocal and bass guitar talents on 22 Little River Band Albums/CD’s.  LRB continues to perform to sold out audiences, and Stephen Housden continues to write and participate in all things Little River Band.

In 2004 LRB was inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association Hall of Fame at the 18th Annual ARIA Music Awards and in September 2015 the band was awarded Casino Entertainer of the Year at the G2E Gaming Expo in Las Vegas Nevada.

Turning the page brings us to the current lineup of Little River Band…

Keyboardist Chris Marion is a Dove Award winning producer. Chris is the creator of all the orchestral arrangements and charts on The Big Box. It is amazing to watch him play, sing, and conduct from his riser!

Drummer Ryan Ricks has locked down the rhythm section, and rounds out the vocals with his incredible range. Great singing drummers are rare…and LRB is lucky to have Ryan as part of that all-important vocal blend.

Nashville Guitarist Colin Whinnery plays lead guitar, and shares lead vocal duties with Wayne. He continues to deliver a unique voice and a fresh outlook to the lead section.

Nashville Singer-Songwriter and Guitarist Bruce Wallace plays rhythm guitar and adds a new layer to the vocal harmonies. The addition of Bruce to the line-up has added to the energy of the already highly energized LRB.

Early 2014 saw the release of Little River Band’s, ‘Cuts Like a Diamond,’ on Frontiers Records.  “What If You’re Wrong,” went to #1 and stayed there for 3 weeks says Jim Shoe of CLASSX Radio.  “Forever You, Forever Me,” and “You Dream, I’ll Drive,” both climbed into the station’s TOP 3.

In November of 2016, LRB released, ‘The Hits…Revisited,’ on Wurld Records -  a CD consisting of 9 re-recorded hits along with 2 new songs.

May of 2017 brought the release of ‘The Big Box’ - a box set consisting of 6 discs’s featuring a DVD with live footage from their 40th Anniversary Tour.

In November of 2020, during the Pandemic, and in partnership with TIME LIFE, the orchestral accompanied ear candy ‘BLACK TIE,’ was released to rave reviews.

Currently, Little River Band is in the studio recording a new album due out the late summer early fall of 2023.

Bringing their vocal and musical energy along with great arrangements to their timeless classic hits, each show creates new memories for the audience.  The band enjoys watching their fans fall in love with the songs all over again as they are swept up by the show’s powerful performance and the volume of hits from LRB’s history.

With 90 -100 dates being scheduled for their 2022-2023 tour, Little River Band is hotter than ever selling out shows and making music coast to coast continuing their legacy of being “the best singing band in the world.”

ABOUT MARK LYMAN

PictureBruce Springsteen & Mark Lyman
Born in 1957, raised in Montreal, Canada and surrounded by guitars since he was a toddler, Mark at the age of 10, discovered the album that would define his musical future - Jimi Hendrix's "Are You Experienced?" As a young, driven, self-taught and ear trained guitar player, he dreamed of recording albums and touring the world.
Fast forward to 1982 at the age of 25, as the guitarist for the Canadian rock band "Luba" which he helped form, he signed a multi-album contract with Capitol Records which led to recording their first Gold selling album, “Secrets and Sins” with Grammy Award winning producer Daniel Lanois (U2, Peter Gabriel, Bob Dylan, Neville Brothers) and working with Narada Michael Walden (Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Steve Winwood, Al Green, Diana Ross) on their follow up Platinum selling album “Between The Earth And Sky.”

Mark spent the next eight years writing, recording and performing to sold out arenas across Canada sharing the stages with the likes of Bryan Adams, Chris DeBurgh, Cheap Trick, Paul Young and Brian Ferry. During this time, Luba saw massive radio play for their various hit singles, “Everytime I See Your Picture,” “Let It Go,” Storm Before The Calm,” “How Many (Rivers to Cross),” with a solo performance by Kenny G, and “The Best Is Yet To Come” (written by Graham Lyle and Terry Britten - composers of “What’s Love Got to Do With It” for Tina Turner)all of which hit the Top 10 positions on the Canadian rock charts which led to winning numerous Juno Awards (Canada's Grammy's) for both music and videos.
In 1986 Mark and the band were chosen to perform “How Many Rivers (to Cross)” at Budokan Hall in Tokyo Japan, representing Canada at the Yamaha World Popular Song Festival, and saw two of their singles "The Best is Yet to Come" and "Let It Go" grace the opening and closing credits of the major motion film 9-1/2 Weeks starring Kim Bassinger and Mickey Rourke.
In 1992, Mark made the move from Montreal Canada to Hollywood Florida initiating the start of his career in talent management and booking with Artists International Management, where he is a managing partner.

 "Still Around"

Sometimes a new band comes around and you know immediately that they have some special. That special chemistry that only certain players getting together at a certain time in a certain moment of time could produce.  Add personality to that chemistry and years of honing their craft together and you have HUSH MONEY.  This Southern Country Rock  Band with strains of blues and classic rock will rock your socks off. Check out "STILL AROUND," their 3rd single from their current album 'Industry Standard.'

ABOUT HUSH MONEY

Emerging from the foothills of the southern Appalachians, Hush Money is a diverse modern alternative southern rock band with a contemporary sound that is deeply rooted in vintage rock, blues, and outlaw country.
The diversity of this eclectic group comes from the widespread back grounds of each of its founding members. Lead by brothers Greg (drums) and Seth Weaver (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), they provide a solid foundation for the band which they developed through many years of playing a mix of outlaw country and classic rock in many smoke filled bar rooms all across the south.
Seth holds the band down with solid rhythm lines and expertly timed riffs creating a water proof seal for the bands core sound. Seth, as well, uses his vibrant raspy voice to lead many of the bands songs. Establishing a vocal presence has become Seth’s main objective, as his voice is something, at times, hard to imitate by his peers. Brother Greg provides the thunderous and emotive drum lines that are the heartbeat of the band. Like his brother, Greg also applies his powerful tenor voice to both lead and back up vocals.
This core sound is complimented flawlessly by the musical virtuosity of the cousin of Greg and Seth, Nathaniel Newberry. Newberry not only holds down the bottom end of the spectrum, which is essential to any good rock band, but is also capable of lightning fast riffs and melody lines akin to that of both Cliff Burton and John Entwistle.
The final member of the band is Caleb Logan. He is a singer/songwriter and lead guitarist for Hush Money. He accents the sound of the group with his gritty melodic riffs and soaring leads, many times consisting of a blend of slide guitar. He contributes the blend due to his love and his opportunity to pay homage to the bands southern roots. Logan will also put his baritone voice talents to work on many songs you will hear throughout a Hush Money show to add to the band’s varied sound.
Complimenting their intricate sound, the band also sets fire to the stage with a highly touted and dynamic live show. This ranges from subdued psychedelic ballads with multilayered harmonies, to a full on energetic onslaught of dueling guitar lines, down tuned riffs, and a rambunctious display of physicality. Enticing both sing a longs and mosh pits alike.
Starting from humble beginnings, Hush Money has quickly risen from playing small town bars to venues and festivals all across the south east. What was once a small ripple has become a wave that is currently reaching audiences in Mexico, Canada, Europe, Australia, and of course their own back yard in the USA. This is a band that is sure to satisfy a wide variety of musical taste buds as well as provide substance for its diverse fan base.

"Am I Gonna Survive" to be released on March 10, 2023

When it comes to writing slice of life songs and then singing them from the heart, Ashley Jordan is in a league of her own.  Born and raised in the tiny town of Harvard, MA, Ashley spent her summers in the Ozark Mountains with her grandparents, listening to and singing country music. She credits her late grandfather as “the light of her life” and it is clear that his influence as a country-folk singer/ songwriter is part of her DNA. At only 13, Ashley convinced her parents to allow her to travel to iconic Harvard Square in Cambridge where she and her guitar set up shop on a street corner.  While a family member stood by, crowds gathered and her tip jar filled to the brim.  The shy girl came to life in front of an audience and Ashley found her voice and her calling. By the time she was 16, Ashley was touring New England with her first album of original songs. Four albums later, Ashley Jordan is a seasoned live performer who has played to crowds as large as 40,000 opening for everyone from Trace Adkins to The Beach Boys, to Billboard Chart hit-maker Jimmie Allen, to the legendary Charlie Daniels Band. She has scored major market airplay, a first-round Grammy nomination, two unprecedented back-to-back Country Artist of the Year wins at the Boston Music Awards and was twice named a top 10 finalist on Nash Next, where she performed for industry professionals. With the upcoming release of her fifth album of original music recorded in Nashville and produced by Jeff Huskins of Little Texas fame, Ashley Jordan is perched at the edge of stardom. Blessed with a powerhouse voice that moves effortlessly from pure country to an authentic rock vibe, Ashley Jordan is on fire and ready to roll.

FOCUS TRACK "NO COWBOYS" REFLECTS TAYLOR'S JOURNEY IN A TOWN WITH A LOT OF HATS AND NO CATTLE

Country singer songwriter Brit Taylor is releasing her sophomore album, Kentucky Blue, today.  Produced by Grammy winners Sturgill Simpson and David Ferguson, the ten original songs explore the breadth and depth of Taylor's captivating songwriting and arresting alto.  Available on all music streaming platforms, the album is being released on Cut a Shine records in partnership with Thirty Tigers.

Listed among the Most Anticipated Albums of 2023 by both Wide Open Country and Saving Country Music, Taylor has pre-released four songs from the album – “Cabin In The Woods,” the title song “Kentucky Blue,” Rich Little Girls” and “Ain’t A Hard Livin’ ” – previewing the lyrical and musical diversity of the album’s songs, all co-written by Taylor.  Honoring Taylor’s Appalachian roots while embracing the sounds of her heart, Kentucky Blue is an album that invites the listener to play it over and over, humming along with the tunes.

Listen here

“I moved to town to be a songwriter first and foremost,” Taylor said.  “I was a shy kid when I started on the Kentucky Opry, but once I got over my stage fright,  I started to love performing – but I only loved performing because I loved the song I was singing and the emotion it evoked in the audience.  It’s always been about the song, not the fame or the lights or the attention. Just the song.”

But every song needs a voice.  Taylor’s down-home but surprisingly powerful voice is warm and relaxed in delivering her lyrics that are anything but.  Her songs of life, love, struggles and happiness are built on her unique life experiences, yet she delivers them by creating a universal appeal.

Taylor finds the joy that follows loneliness in “Cabin in the Woods” and fearlessly puts a color to pure longing in the title song “Kentucky Blue.”  She sounds an anthem for women’s empowerment in “Rich Little Girls” and “If You Don’t Wanna Love Me.”  There are light-hearted songs sandwiched between the deeper philosophical dives in “Best We Can Do” and “Love’s Never Been That Good To Me” and the dose of risqué that every life needs in “For A Night.”

The saltiness in what is perhaps Simpson’s favorite song on the album, “No Cowboys,” tells a part of Taylor’s gutsy journey.  While not naming the new Nashville, her lyrics definitely have an in-your-face “if the shoe fits, wear it” moment for the city that is sporting a lot of hat and no cattle -- “You’ll see wranglers and boots, 10-gallon Stetson hats too, shiny new Silverado’s, desperate to be desperadoes, but there’s no cowboys left in this town.”  The dejected ode to what once was has a fresh, yet familiar, Spanish cowboy feel with a California string section, Texas fiddle, electric guitar, and crying steel peppered with an accordion.

With Simpson and Ferguson in the production chairs, Taylor at the mic with her lyrics in hand, Kentucky Blue becomes an album that is cohesive while offering a little bit of something for everybody.  It is Kentucky meets LA with a stop in Texas along the way, never losing that tinge of Appalachia tradition that Taylor grew up on. It is feisty, funky and pure country and makes the listeners laugh before leaving them teary-eyed.

Recording at the legendary Cowboy Arms Hotel And Recording Spa (now known as Clement Recording Studio) was the perfect place to blend history with the future.  For Taylor, it was serendipity because it was the first studio she ever stepped foot into when she came to Nashville thirteen years earlier, where she was honored to meet Cowboy Jack Clement and where Simpson and Ferguson have made today’s albums that are the music of tomorrow.

Legendary producer and engineer Ferguson – whose credits span the spectrum from Johnny Cash to modern-day icons such as John Prine and Simpson – praises the new music, stating, “Let me say I’ve been lucky enough to work with some really great artists from Kentucky – Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers, to name two, and it seems there’s no end to the talent that comes out of Kentucky.  One of those is Brit Taylor. You should give her a chance. You won’t be sorry.”

Ferguson and Simpson – who simply declares “if I didn’t like the music I wouldn’t produce it” – asked Taylor for 25 of her best songs.  A prolific writer, she found herself weeding through hundreds of songs she’d written and finally sent them 30 songs.

“There are a lot of ways to achieve your dreams in Nashville,” Taylor said.  “Some just move here and hope, some are ‘song hounds’ searching for the best songs to record, and others just hit Broadway and sing until they’re blue in the face, always hoping someone will walk in and change their lives.  Then there are the folks who write songs, record them and hit the road to start building a fan base or hope to go viral on some social media app.  Others just write song after song after song after song, honing their craft.”

Taylor has done it all. She sang on Broadway seven nights a week, made demos and cold called on record label execs (one who politely listened to her music before rejecting her with a “so this is mountain music.”  She still regrets not telling him to shove it right then). But, for her, it was always about the magic of the lyrics.  She kept writing and writing more, singing along the way.

While college was teaching Taylor about the music business, Nashville hit songwriters like Mark Stephen Jones were teaching her how to write a song.  Her classes were Tuesday and Thursday so she could schedule co-writes Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  Her commitment paid off. Taylor signed her first publishing deal five years after moving to town and shortly after earning her college degree.

It was an exciting time for a young Taylor, but playing by the rules nearly broke her.  Fortunately, her life changed, even while she fought it.  A contentious divorce, a publishing deal that wanted what she couldn’t give, the death of her dog and the fight to keep her mini-farm not only pushed her over the edge, it pushed her into today.

After quitting her deal and turning off the radio so she could hear her inner voice, she began a deep dig to find her “real me”.  Calling on a host of friends and industry veterans cultivated over a decade, she co-wrote with legends such as Dan Auerbach and released her first album and its deluxe edition.  Collaborations followed with Dee White, Mike and The Moonpies and others, all leading to today.

The release of Kentucky Blue represents 15 years of learning how to craft a good song, how to get the melody and form just right and how to get the phrasing to fit within the music.  It’s studying the greats like Harlan Howard and writing with the greats like Pat McLaughlin and Marcus Hummon.  It is 15 years of learning the rules just so you can finally figure out how to cleverly break them.  Taylor, who has a black belt in karate, was definitely earning her black belt in classic country.  It is why industry executive Jody Williams says her  “music is as honest as Loretta Lynn’s.”

Today, she is confident in penning lyrics that talk about life in a way that makes  the listener feel less alone. Her songs are fully textured, and her raw honesty embraces complexity.  It is both a gift and a talent, honed by years of dedicated work and some tough living. And it has paid off with Kentucky Blue.  She has a new publishing deal with Reservoir/One Riot and a booking deal with Wasserman Music, where she is represented by a team headed by Johnathan Levine, who also books artists including Tyler Childers, Sturgill Simpson, Margo Price, and Kacey Musgraves.

Taylor, who still finds her heart in writing songs for herself and others, has spent recent months touring in support of Blackberry Smoke and Kelsey Waldon, opening for Dwight Yoakam, Alabama and Ian Noe and performing her own headliner gigs.

The power of Taylor’s music has always been that it is refreshingly simple yet surprisingly complex, empathetic yet empowering.  Always remaining true to herself, she continues to tells stories which manage – whether they are dramatic, humorous or heartfelt – to be as authentic as she is.

About Brit Taylor
With the release of her sophomore album, Kentucky Blue, singer-songwriter Brit Taylor is striding positively into her future. The Kentucky native – with her captivating lyrics and arresting vocal – is stepping boldly ahead with one foot firmly grounded in her Appalachian roots and the other plowing through new ground.  It is rewarding, but it hasn’t been easy.

Kentucky Blue, produced by Grammy winners Sturgill Simpson and David Ferguson and released in 2023, is a happy, upbeat record that is feisty, funky and pure country and reflective of her life today.  It follows Taylor's 2021 debut album Real Me and its complement, Real Me Deluxe, which chronicled her self-reflective journey from the depths of despair to honest self-awareness.  The highly acclaimed Real Me opened as the highest-ranking debut album on the AMA/CDX Radio Chart at No. 37 and garnered positive reviews from American Songwriter, Rolling Stone, NPR’s World Cafe and others.  The 2022 AMERICANAFEST featured her at an official artist showcase, and she headlined The Burl’s 2022 official after-party for Kentucky Rising, an all-star concert in to raise money for East Kentucky flood victims.  Taylor’s list of recent live performances includes opening for Dwight Yoakam, Ian Noe, Alabama and Robert Earl Keen and touring in support of both Kelsey Waldon and Blackberry Smoke.  PBS featured her on “The Caverns Sessions”, a musical series from deep within a subterranean amphitheater in Tennessee's Cumberland Mountains.  She has released new music with Dee White, Mike and the Moonpies and others.

Born where the famed Country Music Highway 23 slices through Kentucky, life was good for the young singer who spent her childhood years on the Kentucky Opry.  Because she started singing before she could read or write, songwriting came later.  It took the end of a teenage puppy love to lure her to put pen to paper and words to her emotions.  Her first lyrics were born, and her love for songwriting was unleashed.  High school graduation was followed by a move to Nashville, a college degree, a music deal, marriage, and a mini-farm. And then it all went bad.  A husband gone AWOL, a band that dissolved, a beloved dog that died, a music deal gone sour and a bank that wanted her home made for a winter of despair.  After a brief wallow in self-pity, Taylor went to work, determined to be true to herself and to make music her way.  Tired and broken-hearted by the “new Nashville,” she walked away from her song writing deal.  Declaring she’d rather “clean toilets than write shitty songs any longer,” Taylor cleaned houses to pay the bills, successfully turning her side hustle into a bona fide small business.  At the same time, she served as “general contractor” for her self-financed Real Me, pulling together a cast of professionals to co-write and play with her, all while recording on her own newly created record label, Cut A Shine Records.

Life is good again. She signed a collaborative deal between Cut A Shine Records and Thirty Tigers and a publishing deal with Reservoir and One Riot.  She has a booking deal with Wasserman Music.  She has a new love and marriage and two new miniature donkeys and a rescue dog added to her zoo of one cat, two dogs, five goats and a bunch of chickens.  Today, Taylor is bravely standing out as her own self. It isn’t an easy path to navigate, but Brit learned that the best GPS is her inner self.

She remains true to the honesty of her lyrics and the timelessness of her sound.  The power of her lyrics and her music is that they are refreshingly simple yet surprisingly complex.  Always true to herself, Brit Taylor continues to tells stories which manage – whether they are dramatic, humorous or heartfelt – to be downright honest.  It is who she is.

Squirrel Train is a feel good song

There is absolutely nothing wrong with listening to and chuckling about a fun, feel good song.  Squirrel train is just that. It pokes fun at someone having trouble keeping focused on one thing at a time without being insulting. How did this song come about?  Well let me tell you.
On Friday, November 25th, Pamela releases her latest single, “Squirrel Train.” Co-written by Hopkins, Dave Lenahan and Scott Barrier, the new song is Pamela’s ode to her band, and her ADHD moments that inspired the group’s moniker.

Pamela says, “This was such a fun writing session with Dave and Scott! I call my band the “Squirrel Train Band” because I’m really scatter-brained and sometimes, just all over the place with my ADHD.
We were talking about what to write about one day, and I told them I would love to write a funny song about me/my band name...and this song is what we came up with! I know a lot of adults who
can relate to the words of this song—I think we all have the “ADHD/ADD moments” in life—

I mean, isn’t that why we start our day off with coffee? I am so excited about this release and LOVE how this song turned out!!! The talented musicians that built my vision for this song, are simply amazing.
When you hear it, you’ll understand what I mean.”
