ABOUT MARION JULIUS

South African born Singer/Songwriter Marion Julius lives and works in Australia. Marion has been singing and writing songs since she was a young girl. During school breaks she'd write down poems and songs. She also sang at performing arts school. Julius spent much of her time in school on stages, singing, and was in a school production of THE SOUND OF MUSIC.  Marion was drawn to Rhythm and Blues, dance and techno music growing up because her relatives and family friends who influenced her performed in bands and were musical. She loved to go to concerts seeing Kool and the gang, Boyz II Men, Janet Jackson and Kiss. In addition, Marion met Kiss musician Jean Simons when they were in Australia a few years ago.
 
In South African culture, music was and still is a huge part of their lives. Music is everywhere in South African culture. Marion also saw and met Jabulani, a very successful South African group and got to meet Abby the lead singer. Marion Julius surrounds herself with music. She has been in some other artists music videos and also enjoys songwriting. When Marion Julius was little she used to watch Kids Incorporated and Young Talent Time. In childhood she dreamed of Michael Jackson and often talks about her dreamtime conversations with him.
Marion Julius’s is just beginning her professional musical journey. Many know the best is yet to come. Performing in night clubs in Sydney, Australia, Marion enjoys visiting The Basement when it was a popular Jazz Club. Now it offers Karaoke and everyone partakes. Over the years she has sung at some night clubs in Sydney Australia. She also loves to visit and go out to The Basement in Sydney Australia which used to be a popular jazz club.
