Victor Newman has lost his mind on Young and Restless. After today's episode, that can be the only explanation.   We thought last Friday that he may have been setting Ashland up when he went to talk to the blackmailer. Instead no, he paid the guy off for Ashland and is clearing the way for the marriage. 

Can he possibly hate Billy Boy so much that he is making sure his daughter marries this pretending to be dying man?  We find it hard to believe that he fell for this man's sob story but my oh my, today's episode was certainly disarming.  

Do you the viewer have another explanation about what happened today and why Victor is protecting this con man? 

 You and  I both know that Mariah has not given up the idea of having another baby. She has a gaping hole in her heart that she feels the need to fill. Who would Mariah pick to be her baby Daddy? 

If you have ever had a miscarriage, you know the feeling of loss and emptiness that she is feeling. She also has all kind of hormones racing through her veins.  We all know she should wait until some time has passed, her hormones can calm down and she is done pumping her breasts but will she?

If you were Mariah, who would you pick to be your baby daddy? Will she go back to Devon and ask for a donation or will she go to her wonderful friend Kevin and ask him for a donation??

I could see the Kevin thing happening as long as Mariah agrees to keep the donation a secret.  What do you think?  We all know she should wait but we also know there is a good chance she will get pregnant as fast as she can.  Who do you think she should do this with? Will she go behind Tessa's back to do this?

Nikki rips into Billy about minding his own business on Young and Restless. Back Stage Pass News is wondering why Billy is not yelling from the rooftops that as long as his kids will live part time in the same house as the man with no real name, IT IS HIS BUSINESS. 

Next week Nikki is going to UN-INVITE BILLY from the wedding and tells him to mind his own business. Has her own husband not warned her that he is looking into Ashland?

Do you, yeah you, the person reading this believe that Victor is actually okay  with this wedding?  Do you believe that Victor has suddenly become understanding and trusting of a man that could be swindling his business out from under his daughters backside?  

Are the writers writing Victor as some mindless man that believes this man Ashland because his story is similar to his own childhood  misery?  

 Nick and Sharon belong together on Young and Restless. They were a teenage super couple and should have remained a super couple throughout the longevity of the show.  Sharon and Rey have the chemistry shared between a banana and a peach. 

Sharon and Adam never had a great love story. They were a transition couple at best.  Everyone seems to forget about how Adam experimented with a same sex relationship when he first moved to Genoa City.  He also faked blindness. The character of Adam didn't even begin to be likable until the character was portrayed by Justin Hartley who went on to Mega fame via 'THIS IS US."  

Speaking of THIS IS US.  The show is on it's last season, perhaps Justin will work his way back to YOUNG AND RESTLESS.  

 Nick and Phyllis have no chemistry.  Nick and all the others and there have been many have had no chemistry.  Let's rally together to tell the writers that we want a NICK AND SHARON reunion. Sharon loves Christian and would be a wonderful mother for the motherless boy. She was when he was born and she would be again. 

Sonny is not done with Nina on General Hospital is something that became perfectly clear today.  Sonny would not be crying when talking to Nina if she meant nothing to him.  

Of course he is angry at her, yet he didn't tell Carly anything about her. Nor did he sleep in his own bed with Carly. Instead he slept in the guestroom. On top of that, while Carly and Jason told Sonny they had just gotten married, Sonny has no idea  that they have proclaimed their love for one another. 

Nor does Carly have any idea that Mike was in love with Nina and tried to take the relationship to a physical level several times. The only reason it didn't go further was because Nina stop them. She told Mike that she couldn't be with him that way until he knew who he was. That he needed to give his whole heart to her. 

For most of the Mike and Nina story line Back Stage Pass News did not like Mike and Nina together. However, today there was something very different about them.  Something that may be accepted by more people than that would have accepted Mike and Nina.  

Will the writers go there? Will the fans accept it? 

On September 23, 2021 was so very telling. The football scene was so  transparent. Phyllis literally turned down the opportunity to spend time with Nick and Christian as a family.  Then right after she did that, she offered to help Nick find out the truth about Ashland.

This women he loves so  much has NO TIME for his son but has all the time in the world for a mystery.  Phyllis has no interest in being a family with Nick and Christian.  Nick forgets that Phyllis is actually a grandmother.  Even when she was an acting mother to Summer or Daniel she wasn't much of one. 

How long do you think it will be before Nick realizes he and Phyllis are at different places in their life?

There has been so much speculation that Sonny would not be the same after his near year of being Mike. However, today's episode seems to extinguish that notion.  It seems that Sonny is back with a vengeance. He couldn't get out of Nixon Falls fast enough and Jax helped him.

Just to recap:  Sonny arrives back in Port Charles and goes right to his house. Did he not meet up with the security that normally guards his house?  You would think on the wedding night and a recent car bombing and attempt on Carly and Jason's life, there would be extra security. 

Sonny enters the foyer and looks in the mirror.  You have to wonder if he was thinking he looked old and needed a shave?  He walked into the living room and looks at the pictures of his family and his loving wife.  He steps briefly onto the patio where he always had some great family dinners and smiles. 

He heads back into the house, across the living room and up the stairs and stops on the stairs thinking about how great it is to be home. There does not seem to be anything left of Mike or is there? 

Are we sure that Jason and Carly are in Carly and Sonny's bedroom in Sonny's house?  

Meanwhile, Carly is shaking and nervous like a teenager and Jason is in total control.  Many people have always thought that Carly and Jason should have been together.  Will Jason walk away from Carly and become Sonny's right hand man again or will Jason fight for the women he claims he loves?  If Carly and Sonny get back together and Sonny takes over his business, Jason will be available to pursue Britt.  

So you dear viewer, should it be Sonny and Carly or Jason and Carly or so Jason run back to Britt?  

We are seeing a preview where Nick is yelling at Jack about declaring his love for Phyllis. The only thing is we don't know if this a Jack or Nick having a nightmare or if this is going to happen.

One thing that is perfectly clear is that Phyllis had to have told Nick about Jack's declaration of love which would feel like a betrayal for Jack. 

Do you think that Phyllis should tell Nick that Jack told her that he loved her then, he loves her now and he will always love her? 

See the scene above.  Another thing is clear is that Phyllis is not happy with  Nick confronting Jack. 

Maurice Benard's interviews just keep getting better and better.  This interview with James Patrick Stuart who portrays Valentin Cassadine on General Hospital reveals so much. 

As an avid viewer of All My Children and knowing James work on the ABC soap, we never knew he was stoned while working. His role on AMC was  that of Will Cortlandt. He has always been a stellar actor, even when he was stoned.

He reveals so much of his life, his story, his musical British invasion  connection.  There is a genetic reason he is so musically talented.

If you didn't already know that Camryn is a stellar actress, you have to know it now. This actress was able to spill the endless tears saying goodbye to whatever they have wrapped up in  receiving blankets.  

Let's talk about that scene and the person that brought it to life.  The character of Mariah has to get out of the house. She can't watch another women mother the child she gave birth to. This is actually a very normal reaction that most surrogates have.  

However, Mariah's is amplified by being held captive. Also, it is not helping that she was separated from her birth mother when she was born and that has to be playing a part in the separation anxiety she is feeling. 

Getting out of the Chandler mansion is actually a good idea if she is going to move forward. However, the goodbye scene was so heartfelt that tears fell all over the country when Mariah said goodbye to her bundle of blanket she caressed so lovingly. 

Young and Restless really has to go themselves a favor and either get a real baby or get one of those lifelike baby dolls that are sold everywhere.  Camyrn Grimes might not need that to act her butt off but Melissa Ordway (Abby) does. 

Mariah told Abby she would still pump her breasts for breast milk. That is also not helping Mariah having leaky breasts all day everyday is another physical reaction her body is still having being Bowies mother. We will find out somewhere down the road that this baby is actually Mariah's? 

 We here at Back Stage Pass News are making light of this because we know there is no way they writers, producers and network executives would allow two icons of the show to be blown to bits on their wedding day. 

Pun intended, that would ruin the story line they have been building to just take them out like that.  We here at Back Stage Pass News assume that Jason assumed there would be a murder attempt so Jason had the vehicles checked.  We  know Jason was warned by the Female Asian Mobster.  As Jason said, she was only consuming what he already knew. 

So that is interesting that she would be kissing up to Jason but at some point they all  have to pick an alliance.  She may have been touched by Jason and Carly's love?  You think?

We here at Back Stage Pass News can tell you  that we heard t hat it's the other limo that blows up with Novak and Cyrus's ally in it.  So dry those tears and buckle up because things will get plenty ugly when Sonny gets back to Port Charles. 

So far Ashland has gotten 4 different text messages from this person who absolutely knows him. One would have to wonder how someone got his cell phone number.  You would think that his cell phone number would be private so he wouldn't get constant phone calls. 

So the question is, are the messages coming from Tara.  Could Tara  be trying to reach him from prison. After all, she is not dead. Each one of those message could be from someone he hasn't seen in a long time or someone sitting in jail waiting for him to come and see her. 

Seriously, his new ex wife has been in jail for a few months and he hasn't gone anywhere near the prison. The boy he was raising as his son lost him and his mother and gained two virtual strangers as permanent care giver parents and nobody is addressing this?  It is all very bizarre.

So the writers want us to think that this is someone from his long ago past but that doesn't necessarily have to be.  You know they never said how Tara met him. It is possible that she knows something about his history. Why hasn't Billy or one of the investigators gone to the prison to have a talk with Tara? 

As her brother Nick has the reason to distrust this man. Also, a really big problem people should be having is this man near two young children when they don't even know his real name. Why isn't that being mentioned. They are making this all about Victoria but if she isn't grown up enough to protect her children from possible harm, perhaps she shouldn't have them. 

Billy needs to ask her for permanent custody until she is done with Ashland or he is dead.  Do you think that Victoria should have custody of her kids while Ashland is living in the house? 

 General Hospital brings back Max Gail  as Mike to help Sonny remember and it was a thing of beauty.  Was there a dry eye in the house today when Max Gail showed up on the beach where Sonny first washed up today?

This scene was so lovely and such a beautiful thing. While the bar was burning, the character of Mike as portrayed always so expertly by Max Gail gave the General Hospital viewers a full circle type of moment.   He helped Sonny remember who he was as it was obvious that Sonny either didn't want to remember or he was afraid to remember.  

They ended the scene with Sonny  remembering and calling at for Carly while Carly was at the alter with Jason. This scene was absolutely Emmy Nomination worthy.   They did however leave Sonny in the burning bar. Is  he going to get himself up and drag himself out or is Jax going to run into the burning building to save his nemesis Sonny? 

Tell us if you loved this scene today?  

This is not just speculation around the internet but it is also speculation with medical professionals that this story line is just not realistic.  Anybody that knows anybody that has had cancer and chemo know this for fact. You can not have chemo unless you have a ride home.  Oncologists do not allow their patients to drive after chemo.  

Ashland seems to drive and feel fine after chemo other than a few little dizzy spells or stomach cramps. Also, last week somebody announced  it was Ashland's last chemo. Was that meant as they were referring to the last time he had chemo or that it was his last infusion of chemo. 

Again, most people who have had chemo know that chemo treatments go on for months. There are different ways in which it  is done depending on your cancer, the stage of your cancer and more. 

So length of cancer treatments, driving himself home from treatment, and no hair fallout bring whether he is actually having cancer treatments at all into question. What a radiation?  Radiation treatments for cancer usually occur daily for weeks.  Radiation hasn't even been mentioned in this story line. Either the writers should have done a better job researching cancer treatments or Ashland should be pretending better. 

Ashland has done his research and he knows that both Victor and Nikki  came from abuse. He knew exactly how to pull their heart strings and they seem to be falling for it hook, line and sinker. 

Bottom line is that Back Stage Pass News does not  think that the man with no birth name is having cancer treatments. In fact, it would seem that Ashland is in the middle of a long con wherein he will be taking away Newman Enterprises from the Newman's and he is using Victoria to do it. 

Do you think Ashland is faking cancer? 

Jack spends some time reminiscing about his love and time with Phyllis right after Nick questions Jack about his own relationship with Phyllis.  While just yesterday, Jack thought that Phyllis and Nick had an unbreakable union, Jack is realizing today that there are cracks in that foundation. 

Jack realizes that Nick is absolutely have doubts about his relationship with Phyllis so does this mean that Jack will move forward and act on his feelings for Red? 

Are  Jack and Phyllis the super couple that Y&R viewers want to see together?
