STATE OF MIND![]()
Maurice Benard has been portraying the gangster with a soft heart, Sonny Corinthos for almost 30 years now. During that time he showed up for work whether he felt like it or not. Sometimes, the days were very dark for the actor as he has battled BI-POLAR his entire life.
Maurice is not shy about talking about his low points. He has now made it a life mission to talk to others who have shared and fought these same kind of demons. His biggest wish is to make people see mental issues what they are, medical conditions that can be dealt with and improved. The vehicle Maurice uses to get his message out is via his show "STATE OF MIND," some call a PODCAST.....Here at Back Stage Pass News, we don't call his show a podcast, we call it a VODCAST. The show is not audio only. It is audio and video. WE here at Back Stage Pass News call them VODCASTS. STATE OF MIND IS A VODCAST and a very good one. Maurice has had on many guests, some that continue to conquer mental issues and some that have just started. His show cuts through the stigma many who have suffered through mental issues have had to deal with. That stigma only adding to the already tough issue of dealing with mental health issues. If you have not watch STATE OF MIND yet, you need to Subscribe today.
This weeks STATE OF MIND is Part ll and features guests married couple Todd Fisher and Catherine Hickland. Todd Fisher is son of the late Debbie Reynolds and brother of the late Carrie Fisher. They talk about their loss, having to deal with their high profile deaths. In addition, these deaths took place very close together which is more than a lot of people could ever handle.
Fans of One Life To Live may remember Catherine Hickland from the soaper. In addition, Catherine Hickland was once married to Michael E. Knight (currently on GH and formerly on All My Children as Tad the CAD) and David Hasselhoff. MAKE SURE TO WATCH PART 1

ABOUT BILLY RAY CYRUS:
Billy Ray Cyrus (born August 25, 1961) is an American country singer, songwriter and actor. He has released 16 studio albums and 53 singles since 1992, and is known for his hit single "Achy Breaky Heart", which topped the U.S. Hot Country Songs chart and became the first single ever to achieve triple platinum status in Australia. It was also the best-selling single in the same country in 1992. Due to the song's music video, the line dance rose in popularity.
A multi-platinum selling artist, Cyrus has scored a total of eight top-ten singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. His most successful album to date is his debut Some Gave All, which has been certified 9× multi-platinum in the United States and is the longest time spent by a debut artist at number one on the Billboard 200 (17 consecutive weeks) and most consecutive chart-topping weeks in the SoundScan era. It ranked 43 weeks in the top 10, a total topped by only one country album in history, Ropin' the Wind by Garth Brooks. Some Gave All was also the first debut album to enter at number one on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. The album has also sold more than 20 million copies worldwide and is the best-selling debut album of all time for a solo male artist. Some Gave All was also the best-selling album of 1992 in the US with 4,832,000 copies. In his career, he has released 36 charted singles, of which 17 charted in the top 40. In 2019, Cyrus earned his first number-one single on the US Billboard Hot 100 as a featured artist on a remix of Lil Nas X's song "Old Town Road", which spent a record-breaking nineteen consecutive weeks at the top spot (eighteen of them credited to Cyrus). It also spent a record-breaking twenty consecutive weeks (nineteen of them credited to Cyrus) at the top spot on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Billboard Hot Rap Songs. Thanks to the song, Cyrus won his first two Grammy Awards, in the categories Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Music Video. From 2001 to 2004, Cyrus starred in the television show Doc. The show was about a country doctor who moved from Montana to New York City. From 2006 to 2011, he co-starred in the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana with his daughter Miley Cyrus. From 2016 to 2017, he starred as Vernon Brownmule on the CMT sitcom Still the King. See, we told you he was multi-talented. GRAMMY AWARD WINNING ARTIST JOHN BERRY RELEASES “ALL COME TOGETHER” FOR EASTERN KY FLOOD RELIEF8/10/2022 Awareness campaign launched referencing #allcometogether-kystrong
GRAMMY® winning singer/songwriter, John Berry, has released a video and the single “All Come Together” co-written by award-winning songwriter, Chuck Jones. The project is being released to radio in an effort to support the recent Eastern KY flooding. John Berry called on his friends Keb' Mo', Collin Raye, John Oates, Casey James, Bryan White, John Cowan, Darin and Brooke Aldridge, Heidi Newfield (Trick Pony), Dave Innis and Paul Gregg (Restless Heart) and Mike Farris to join him in the studio to record the uplifting song. CDX Nashville is distributing the song to radio along with the supporting video created by Jeff Moseley of CMJ Productions. An awareness campaign promotion utilizing the power of social media has been launched referencing #allcometogether-kystrong. Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has established the Team Eastern Kentucky Flood Relief Fund to assist those impacted by the floods and the severe weather system that impacted KY residents and businesses on July 26, 2022. All donations to the Team Eastern Kentucky Flood Relief Fund are tax-deductible and donors will receive a receipt for tax purposes after donating. If you wish to donate to the Flood Relief Fund, please click here https://secure.kentucky.gov/FormServices/Finance/EKYFloodRelief “Robin and I wanted to do something to help the victims of Eastern KY and the state with clean-up efforts and much-needed essentials,” reflected John Berry. “ I wrote this song with my buddy Chuck Jones in September of 2017 after the hurricanes hit in Texas and I hope it encourages you to donate your time volunteering or give money to help." Co-writer Chuck Jones added, “John Berry, and I got together to write a song one late summer day in 2017, we’d been watching footage of Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Louisiana that weekend before. We felt compelled to write about that devastation. When we played the song for John’s wife, Robin, she had the great idea to use the song to help raise funds for the victims of that flood, as well as the victims of Hurricanes Irma and Maria. The resulting recording and video of “All Come Together” brought together over a dozen country, pop and gospel artists, videographers, studios, and engineers, all donating their time and talents to that cause. The recent tragic flooding in eastern Kentucky has, for so many, meant the loss of everything they had. So it seemed like the right thing to resurrect our song and video as a fundraiser for those unfortunate folks. I feel privileged to be a part of any healing it might bring!” “It was such an honor for me, to have been a part of this incredible song and video with John and so many fantastic artists. A strong reminder that natural disasters continue to happen, and typically, when they do, it brings out the very best in people! That is certainly the case in this situation. It is my sincere hope and prayer, that this project will help rally people to come to the aid of their neighbor and support and bless, the flood victims of the great State of Kentucky," stated Collin Raye. "When my manager, Brian Smith, called me to ask if I would participate in a song to benefit the 2017 Hurricane Harvey flood victims I was all in. Now that another flooding disaster just hit my beloved Kentucky. It just felt right to resurrect this powerful song and video and share it again in hopes it will compel people to pitch in to help, as volunteers or with whatever contributions they can offer," shared John Cowan. “Our hearts break from seeing the devastation from the recent flooding in eastern Kentucky. No one can understand how scary and powerful Mother Nature can be until you have experienced her first-hand. We are sending many thoughts and prayers to all those affected during this most difficult time. In times of trouble, music can bring comfort and hope. A couple of years ago, we were fortunate to collaborate with John Berry on the recording of “All Come Together,” a song he wrote with Chuck Jones in the aftermath of flooding that devastated parts of Texas, Louisiana and Florida. As the song says, we know that the people of eastern Kentucky will likewise “All Come Together” and look to each other to find strength through the storms. We hope this song will bring some comfort and encourage people to help in the recovery in whatever way they can,” shared Darin and Brooke Aldridge. It is with sincerely sadness that we must report that the oldest daughter of the original lead singer of Lynyrd Skynyrd has passed away. In addition, it should be noted that her mother passed away just 2 weeks ago.
Tammy spent a lifetime missing her father. Tonight she is together with him and her mother again. Jane Van Zant affectionately known to Skynyrd Nation as Aunt Jane took to social media to break the news today as shown above.
Tammy has a website called Free Birds Child that she hasn't updated in a while. http://www.freebirdchild.com/
WE extend our sincere sympathies for this family. They have certainly endured their share of heart break through the years.
HAS TENNESSEE LOST ITS MIND?
Nancy Lee Grahn retweeted a message from actress Debra Messing which is quite frightening. What is going on in the stage of Tennessee? Since when do we get to ban people for their religion? Is this Germany in the 1930's? Where will this stop unless people take a stand now? This is appalling to say the least.
From Chicago to all over the worldPainting a picture with words and melodyMore than Americana, you get a perfect portrait of life in the midwest when you listen to John McDonough music.
John McDonough is a singer/songwriter from Chicago, Illinois whose shows span six decades of hits combined with unique and moving originals. John’s acoustic guitar work, passionate vocals, and personal lyrics result in a modern singer/songwriter sound rarely heard.
Before relocating to Chicago in 2020, John had spent 25 years performing in and around Austin, TX. He played to the rowdy crowds of 6th street, the dinner crowds of the suburbs, and everything in-between. Ten years ago John retired from psychotherapy to focus solely on music, and in that time has released five CD’s of original music, played over 500 gigs, performed in eleven major music festivals, several times appeared and performed on local and national radio, and embarked on successful tours throughout the United States. ‘Dream’s and Imagination,’ ‘Surrounding Colors,’ and ‘Can You See Me Now,’ released between 2014 to 2019, all received great reviews and airplay throughout Europe and the United States, with all three releases spending six consecutive months on the Americana Music Association Record Chart. In 2021, John released an acoustic CD titled ‘Second Chances.’ ‘Second Chances’ consists of fresh, acoustic arrangements of his favorite songs from previous releases, and was nominated for Album Of The Year by The Josie Awards and Blues And Roots Magazine. John has drawn comparisons to Elton John, Harry Chapin, and Van Morrison for his vocal abilities while his emotional story telling has been compared to the songwriting styles of Damien Rice and James Blunt. John is very excited to release his new concept EP, ‘We’ll Answer The Call,’ June 17th, 2022. This EP tells the story of Joe Rantz, the Washington Husky rowing team, and their epic bid to win gold in the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games. He is also very excited to get back into Roxie, his small RV, and tour the United States. Ed Roman’s New Single “I Have A Dream” Fillsthe Soul With Positive Visions and Vibes

Let me start off by saying this, NOBODY thinks that what Ashland did when he was a kid or recently was okay. However, the constant entitlement of Victoria Newman has gotten to be a bit much to stomach. There is no reason she couldn't let her family knowing she was playing Ashland. There was no reason she couldn't tell Billy the truth. For Victor to just accept her explanation is insane.
She is a spoiled rotten character who thinks the world revolves around her. The writers have done a good job destroying her personality and character on the show. It almost makes you cheer for Ashland and it certainly makes you feel for Adam. Of course Adam will strike out. Who wouldn't? His father uses him time and time again like he is a disposable human being. Will Sally try and keep Adam from teaming up with Ashland? Will Adam go to Victor with what Ashland wants to do? Should he? Would love to know what the fans are thinking after todays episode. Comment below. SUMMERSTAGE MOUNT AIRY CASINO RESORT

Keyboard player and vocalist for Little River Band is the man behind the Orchestra Lite shows. Chris Marion has over a decade of classical training in piano and brass instruments. He minored in arrangement, instrumentation and conducting at Carson Newman College. He had never thought about doing a complete orchestral arrangement but took on the task nevertheless. His formal education in addition to his practical experience regarding arrangement and production in Nashville guided his way.
Over the past 6 years, LRB has done several pops orchestra shows with various sized orchestras with Chris conducting some and local conductors at others. It’s great for the community because it gives a very local, personalized variation of the music the LRB fans love. It’s the ultimate expansion because it takes the songs to a new level of experience. Quite by accident, the band discovered they could pull off a downsized version of the orchestra show with one player from each of the primary brass and string sections - they call it orchestra lite. They usually work with a local contractor to put the section together from their local and regional contacts. The band has dubbed Chris “The Maestro.” Follow LRB on Facebook. Singer-Songwriter-baseball player![]()
Professional baseball player and rising country music artist Bryan Ruby has announced the release of his new single, “Left Field,” a song co-written by Andrew Capra, Chad Sellers and Bryan Ruby. “Left Field” is an energetic celebration of life’s unexpected moments, the “curveballs” that not only take us by surprise, but end up heavily impacting our lives. 100% of the single’s proceeds will go to Bryan’s charity, Proud To Be in Baseball. Download and stream “Left Field” on all digital platforms at smarturl.it/leftfield_BR.
The song was recorded at SoulTrain Sound Studios in Berry Hill, Tennessee, with vocals recorded at SandTrack Studios in Nashville. Smith Curry served as producer, with mixing done by Mark Lonsway at Warner Chappell Production Music and mastering handled by John Mayfield of Mayfield Mastering. Tracking engineer was Kyle Blunt. Session musicians on the project included Sam Hunter (acoustic guitar), Justin Ostrander (electric guitar), Smith Curry (steel guitar), Nick Buda (drums), Tim Marks (bass), Michael Webb (organ, keyboard) and Mark Lonsway (background vocals). “‘Left Field’ is all about the unexpected. It’s about the things we can’t possibly plan for, big or small, that come into our lives and change us forever. Sometimes we think we have an idea of what we want and then life gets in the way with something totally unexpected. At the end of the day, those are the things that shape us the most,” reflected Bryan Ruby. “It’s that garage sale beat-around old guitar The Louisville Slugger left in the schoolyard It’s that box of 45’s at your cousin’s house That you turned on, cranked up, and wore ‘em all out It’s waking up to snow on Christmas day The last picked kid with the winning play It's that first real kiss in the dashboard light Didn't see it coming but it changed your life Gotta be who you are And do what you can But don’t miss a livin’ just making plans Keep an eye on the horizon You know the deal All the best things come out of Left Field …” “But at the end of the day, I love country music and this is just a damn true country song that comes right from the heart and can mean whatever the listener wants it to mean. Isn’t that the point of all good music, and any aspiring songwriter’s ultimate goal? We all write songs because of what it means to us, but at the end of the day it’s up to the listener to grab hold of the song and tie it to a greater meaning in their life,” shared Bryan Ruby. Keep current with Bryan Ruby by following him on his website at bryanrubymusic.com and his social media sites Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
