Rickey Medlocke is an ORIGINAL MEMBER of Lynyrd Skynyrd

The die-hard life time fans that have been with LS from the beginning are aware that Rickey Medlocke is an original member. For the people that might not know this fact, it warrants repeating.  Rickey Medlocke played, wrote and recorded with Lynyrd Skynyrd during those famous Muscle Shoals recording sessions as seen pictured with the band in those early days above. 

Rickey is the guy with his arm up over the bar.  He played drums on the bands very first album.  He also wrote several of the songs (Wino, White Dove and The Season's) to name just a few:
