RomaDrama Live!®, the celebrity event scheduled to run July 30 through August 1, 2021, at The Factory at Franklin, featuring actors best known for their roles in romantic dramas and seasonal programming on The Hallmark Channel, Lifetime, Netflix, and more, has announced details surrounding ten panels and discussions that are scheduled to take place during the 3-day event.
Joining the lineup of previously announced actors and musical performances, RomaDrama Live! has revealed the addition of award-winning authors and screenwriters who will participate in panels, discussions, and meet and greets during the event. Authors and screenwriters set to appear are 3x Emmy Award-winning screenwriter, author, and national TV Host Karen Schaler, writer of five Christmas movies and five-holiday novels in the last three years, including the Netflix hit A Christmas Prince, Hallmark's Christmas Camp, and Lifetime's Every Day is Christmas starring Toni Braxton); Rick Garman, esteemed screenwriter with more than twenty-five Hallmark movie credits to his name and GLAAD media award-winner; Julie Sherman Wolfe, writer of perennial favorites such as One Royal Holiday, Wedding Every Weekend, The Birthday Wish and more; Riley Weston, whose distinctive career includes writing The Nanny Express, Always and Forever, and most recently, Good Morning Christmas starring Alison Sweeney and Marc Blucas; USA Today best-selling author of romantic fiction Jenny Hale (Coming Home For Christmas, Christmas Wishes, and Mistletoe Kisses); and USA Today bestselling author specializing in writing small-town love stories with a dash of romance and a whole lot of heart Nancy Naigle (Sweet Tea and Secrets, Christmas In Evergreen, and The Secret Ingredient). Author and Screenwriter, Christmas Karen, Karen Schaler will bring her immersive Christmas Camp® to RomaDrama Live!, bringing a taste of her renowned enchanted holiday experience to the main stage in Liberty Hall on Friday at 6 p.m. CT. A complete overview of RomaDrama Live! panels and discussions along with dates and times are below: FRIDAY, JULY 30: 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. CT: Falling for Fantasy – Drew Fuller, Brian Krause, Teddy Sears, and have all starred in romantic fantasies and know what it means to portray a desirable character within a true love story. RomaDrama Live! will bring them together for this unique discussion, where they will share details about their inspiring journeys, look back at the characters they have portrayed, share exclusive stories, and talk about upcoming projects. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and be a part of this unique conversation. This panel will be moderated by Shawlini Manjunath-Holbrook. 3:00 p.m. – 4 p.m. CT: From Script to Screen – Inside the Creative Process of Writing Romance – An exclusive look behind the scenes with (3 or 4) screenwriters who have penned some of the most memorable and popular romances and dramas that grace our screens today. Featuring Rick Garman, Julie Sherman Wolfe, Karen Schaler, and Riley Weston, From Script to Screen – Inside the Creative Process of Writing Romance will share an insider’s view of the creative process, the art of writing romance, and what it’s like to be a screenwriter. Attendees will have the opportunity to enter the discussion as they ask the talented individuals who continue to create the concepts behind the most beloved romantic modern-day movies that resonate with fans worldwide. This discussion will be moderated by Ruth Hill. 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. CT: The Many Talents: Movies, Music and More!: RomaDrama LIVE! has assembled three talented actors, Wes Brown, Paul Greene, and Rob Mayes; all of whom are also talented artists and musicians. As the panelists discuss the correlation between music and movies (chiefly the romantic sort), each one of these gentlemen will share enlightening tales of how they are able to experience success in both the worlds of movies and music, how these two careers overlap, and what their ultimate dreams are for the future of their two passions. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to hear from these creative men and ask their most pressing questions about their favorite movies and music these artists have produced. This panel is moderated by one of Nashville’s most beloved media personalities, Kelly Sutton. 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. CT Drift Away with Donovan: A Conversation with Trevor Donovan: In this lively, enlightening conversation with Trevor Donovan, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy exclusive, one-of-a-kind stories and details relating to Trevor Donovan’s career, his work with rescue dogs, his social media interactions, and more. Audience participation will be encouraged as he answers fan questions regarding every element of his TV/movie career and his charitable work. SATURDAY, JULY 31: 3:00 p.m. – 4 p.m. CT: Heart-to-Heart with the Hynies: A Conversation with Tyler Hynes: In this intimate, provocative conversation, Tyler Hynes and his fans (known affectionately as the “Hynies,”) will have the opportunity to get the inside scoop on Tyler and his career as he shares exclusive stories, behind-the-scenes antics, and more with his loyal, enthusiastic fans. This panel will be moderated by Shawlini Manjunath-Holbrook. 4:00 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. CT: Summer at the Shore: There is nothing like a beach getaway to escape the triple-digit heat of summertime, and everyone loves a summer romance at the shore. Now entering its fifth season on the Hallmark Channel, Chesapeake Shores follows the lives and loves of the O'Brien family on the picturesque Maryland coast. RomaDrama Live! is proud to have two actors (Jesse Metcalfe and Gregory Harrison) who have graced the screens in this popular network show involved in this panel where they will share exclusive behind-the-scenes stories, discuss their characters in the show, and also provide some inside scoop for the upcoming fifth season in August. Attendees can join this unique opportunity to hear Metcalfe talk about his final season on the hit-Hallmark series and ask questions of both actors as the audience gets a glimpse of what life and love looks like at the shore this summer. 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. CT: An Open Book: Reading and Writing Romance: According to the statistics, one-third of all mass-market paperbacks that are sold globally are romance novels. This begs the question, “How is a romance novel born?” In this informative and entertaining panel, romance novelists Jenny Hale, Karen Schaler, and Nancy Naigle have all had their books optioned for and featured on Hallmark and other networks, will share their stories of how they continue to create high-quality, fan-appealing romance novels in a market that often seems over-saturated. Attendees will be privy to the inspiring stories behind each novelist’s success, the work required to make it in the world of romance, and how the book market has changed in the twenty-first century. Audience participation will be strongly encouraged as the authors seek to unravel this ethereal universe of love and romance. This discussion will be moderated by Ruth Hill. 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. CT: Once Upon a Christmas – Attendees who wish to escape the unbearable heat and relentless humidity can stop by this panel discussion where snowball fights, sub-zero temperatures, and winter love rule the day. In fact, the only “heat” you will find in this panel is the smoldering looks of passion each of our panelists Brittany Bristow, Wes Brown, and Ryan Paevey will share with the attendees as they regale the audience with exclusive stories of Christmas movies past and what to anticipate in the cavalcade of sizzling “snowmances” coming our way this holiday season! Then on Saturday, July 31, there will be performances by Lucas Hoge, Mary Sarah, Presley & Taylor, Exit 216, and DOZZI. RomaDrama Live! actors, singers, songwriters Paul Greene and Rob Mayes are also set to perform during the weekend. Paul Greene’s exclusive, intimate concert event will take place on Saturday, July 31 from 7:30-8:30 pm. CT in Jameson Theater. DJ Davis Mallory will provide entertainment throughout the weekend. Tickets can be purchased at RomaDrama.com. RomaDrama Live! ticket holders will be granted access to the musical performances; however, a special ticket is required to attend the Paul Greene show. Fans have the option of purchasing a Paul Greene - All Access Music Pass ($199 per person), which includes (1) two-day ticket to RomaDrama Live!, a meet & greet and selfie with Paul Greene, a Paul Greene autograph, and access to his private concert event, or RomaDrama Live! ticket holders can purchase an add-on ticket for the concert-only ($45 per person). Children 12 and under are permitted to attend the event FREE with a ticket-holding adult, with the exception of the VIP Brunch and any other special event that requires a separate ticket for entry.
