The song currently is in the top ten new added country songs on the Indicator Panel. The song lyrics, written by Chapman, were inspired from the continuous dedicated work that the Texas Highway Patrol provides for the state of Texas along with the deployments to the border to support Border Patrol with the border crisis. The song was produced by Buddy Hyatt and Donovan Chapman recorded at Hilltop Studios and Music City Trax in Nashville, with mixing by Buddy Hyatt at Music City Trax. Ronny Palmer and Zack Allen provided engineering, and the tune was mastered by Benny Quinn. Studio musicians on the project included Buddy Hyatt on keys and piano, Austin Crum and Brent Mason played electric guitar, Joel Key added acoustic guitar, Scott Sanders and Mike Johnson played steel guitar and background vocals were sung by Michael Lusk, Michael Rogers, Billy Davis and Chip Davis. Music is available on all digital music platforms at smarturl.it/HighwayPatrolmanDC. The album was completed a year ago, but while performing last Summer at a benefit concert for the Texas Highway Patrol in South Texas, Donovan met an Officer who needed support for his family. He sat down with a pen and paper and interviewed him, hearing firsthand what was going on with his struggles financially and the workload the family was enduring. Donovan wrote the song on the spot and added it to his completed album, knowing through prayer that this song had to be the first single. His goal is to shed light on law enforcement nationwide, which needs much love and support for their relentless work effort to keep the country safe. Fifty percent of royalties from the single is being donated to That Others May Rise Organization for the child with cerebral palsy of the Texas Highway Patrol Officer whose family requires financial support to purchase a transport vehicle.
