JD Shelburne is absolutely "Straight From Kentucky" and heading to CRS. This will be his 3rd time at CRS and he is really looking forward to it. CRS is short for Country Radio Seminar. CRS is an annual event held in Nashville which enables up and coming, and or established superstar artists to mix and mingle with Country Radio DJ 's, Program Directors and more.

Back Stage Pass New sat down and spoke with JD about his career, where it has been and where it is going. He currently has two singles from "Straight from Kentucky," being promoted. "Home Town in my Headlights," and "Church Pew Bar Stool. "

Betty White has passed away 17 days before her 100th birthday. What a terrible way to end this dismal year. This wonderful lady did not make it to her 100th Birthday. She had been laying low during the pandemic. Unfortunately, her passing has been verified.

She very recently did an interview with People Magazine talking about her upcoming 100th birthday. This is what she had to say for this weeks issuessue celebrating what would have been her milestone birthday and said that she was “in such good health.” “I try to avoid anything green. I think it’s working,” she quipped. You can hear hearts breaking all over the American landscape today as we prepare to say goodbye to this American Icon. Betty, we loved you and will miss you forever.

This song was written and recorded during the Pandemic. There is something so intimate about this song born from daydreaming solitude and longing for all things normal.

The entire song was written virtually during the pandemic. Even when JENNA was recording the song, Roger was able to be a part of the session virtually through a program called Audio Movers.
This is JENNA Nation’s first original Christmas song. She had always wanted to write a new and special Christmas song. JENNA grew up listening to the Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston Christmas classics, both of whom greatly inspired this holiday song.
JENNA is very much an old soul and she tried to incorporate these sentiments, ideas, and feelings into this particular song. JENNA wrote this ballad to remind people about the true meaning of Christmas and to bring hope to the world. She feels like the true meaning of Christmas has been somewhat lost over the years. People have lost sight of what it is. For her, Christmas is about cherishing time with family; it’s about love, peace and togetherness.
JENNA feels that despite its many challenges, the pandemic has really helped society to be more thankful and to cherish time with loved ones as many people were unable to be together with their families on Christmas or at any time over the holidays last year.
JENNA’s goal was to create something that sounded similar to the classic Christmas songs that we all hear on the radio every year - those warm, familiar, soulful and heart-warming songs.

Having had several police officers in the family, the threat and fear of losing that person is real, very real.

Folks music with an edge

Songwriter Wagner has stories to tell and experiences to recount. He does so very eloquently with his songwriting. All of My Friends takes you on a short journey where the meek are easily oppressed. Someone has to speak up for them and he does so in this song. The production is simple and the message is clear to the listener. However, that message can and will mean different things to different people.

I can see Cat Stevens (Yusuf Islanm), and Bob Dylan and Joan Baez hanging out with this guy over some beers and conversation. Below is a quote from Wagner about why he does what he does.

Alan Jackson reveals disease so fans didn't think he was drunk on stage

Alan Jackson kept his diagnosis private between he and his family until now. He reveals his condition to his fans because he didn't want them to think he was drunk on stage. This man loves his family, friends and fans. He is humble and he is kind.

I have been familiar with Alan Jackson since the 1990's. I knew he was a talented man. What I didn't know about him was that he always thought of himself as more of a singer/songwriter than a super star. It must have been quite a shock to his humble man when the world thought of him as a super star. During this interview Alan reveals his health status, how it makes him feel and what the future looks like for him. If you haven't watched this interview you should.

We at Back Stage Pass News wish this man and his family well. They certainly have had a tough time of it the last few years. Jackson recently lost his mother on top of helping his daughter through the pain of losing her husband. Below are some direct quotes from the Interview:

I don't want them to think I am drunk on stage.

Alan reveals that the disease is "starting to affect my performance on the stage a little bit." He also states that his future performing is uncertain. He says and I quote:

I just wanted them or if they come to see me in the future if I play anymore

Alan says that his disease "Gets worse as it goes along." He also reveals that "I just feel very uncomfortable, it is going to disable me eventually." He makes very clear that he doesn't want anyone to think he is whining about this. He knows how blessed he and his family have been. He looks forward to writing and recording new music always. It takes you to another time and place and absolutely out of your own head. That is what a great song is supposed to do that this song accomplishes that.

In addition, this young lady has a beautiful voice and is loaded with talent. She looks like a delicate flower with the passion and fire of a dragon.

I Just don't Care - Do You?

Sarantos says I Just Don't Care via new single. This song and its title brings to the forefront the issue of the struggle of Alcoholism.

ABOUT THE SONG

The lyrics in the chorus are a play on words, a double meaning. This is such an important topic. However, I am here to critique this song and it is at times hard to listen. Sarantos drops out of key quite a bit. We would like to attribute that to the pain he seems to be feeling when singing the song. It could be the artsy way he decided to produce the song.

The song is interesting enough to stay with the music video once or twice. This is not a song you would hear or want to hear on the radio. This song would be something that you would want to listen to after the death of a good friend or loved one. It is very sad and full of emotion.

While the subject matter of this song could bring awareness to alcoholism which is a worthy cause, for us the song falls short of doing that. The artist may have planned the dropped keys but we found it distracting.

We would like to note that Sarantos is a nice guy who is constantly doing
things to help out worthy causes. We may not like his production of the song but you may. Take a listen.

The most Politically Incorrect Song of 2021

Night School by Larry Jay Music song review. Before we clicked on the play button for his song, we had a few pre-conceptions because of the title. Well, we were wrong. This song was a real surprise in some fun and over the top politically incorrect ways.

The song and music video features young men being flirted with by their teachers. The teachers are sporting lots of cleavage and short skirts and dresses. The lyrics are more than suggestive, they are down right in your face statements.

The song has some predictable country licks but it doesn't stop you from liking it. In fact, the song makes you smile and want to dance. This song will do well with any OUTLAW CROWD.

The fact is that the song is actually a very sweet love song, however the music video takes you in a different direction. We here at Back Stage Pass News really like this song. We'd give it 5 Stars on the Black Board.

Music Review of "The Day the Lady Cried" by The Nied's Hotel Ban. We here at Back Stage Pass News love days like this when a great song drops into our laps for review. Today is such a day. This song "The Day The Lady Cried," is so good it brought tears to our eyes.

Okay, we have to admit that a few of us are originally from New York so there's that. However, a good song is a good song. A great song evokes emotions than can run down your cheek.

We saw emotions run down several cheeks while this song played for the second time today. The first play got people's attention and they gathered around my desk.

I played the Music Video and that really brought out emotions that required tissues.
